The building and everything in it
Hotel Minho Belo sits in Bairro de Lourido, a short distance from the centre of Vila Nova de Cerveira and the banks of the Rio Minho. It is a traditional building, kept simply and kept well, with the kind of understated character that comes from being run by people who live here rather than by a brand somewhere else.
Guests arrive at all hours, and the front desk is open for all of them. Beyond that, the hotel is deliberately uncomplicated: comfortable rooms upstairs, shared spaces downstairs, and a garden that most people end up sitting in longer than planned.

Time to unwind
In the warmer months the garden and sun deck become the centre of the hotel. There is outdoor furniture set among the greenery, a terrace that catches the afternoon light, and a seasonal outdoor swimming pool that opens when the weather allows.
When the evening cools, everything moves indoors. The bar is a good place to end the day, and the communal lounge with its fireplace tends to gather guests who came down for one drink and stayed for the conversation.
For anyone who would rather be doing something, there is a games room with billiards and table tennis, which has rescued more than one wet afternoon for families staying with us.

The pool is seasonal, the games room is not, which makes the hotel workable in every month of the year.
Comfort made simple
Free Wi-Fi covers the hotel, and parking on site is free and public, so arriving by car is easy at any hour. Family rooms are available, all rooms are non-smoking, and an elevator serves the building.
Day to day, housekeeping is daily, room service is available, and baggage storage means an early arrival or a late departure need not shape your plans. The front desk is staffed twenty-four hours a day.
The property lists a number of accessibility features, including wheelchair accessibility, a lowered sink, a raised toilet and a toilet with grab rails. These are property features rather than a guarantee that every room is fully accessible, so please tell us what you need when booking and we will confirm what is possible.

Downstairs, where people gather
The ground floor holds reception, the bar, the dining room used for breakfast, a lounge with a fireplace and the games room. It is the part of the hotel where guests tend to cross paths, swap notes on where they have been and plan the next day over a drink before heading out to eat in town.

Each morning
Breakfast in the dining room
Breakfast is served at the hotel each morning as a continental and buffet spread in the dining room. It is honest, generous enough for a full day out, and taken at your own pace.
Beyond breakfast, the hotel has a bar rather than a restaurant. Vila Nova de Cerveira and the surrounding villages have plenty of places to eat in the evening, and the front desk is always happy to point you toward one.
